Question
Can I restrict which AI companies get my data?
By SourceX Editorial · Updated
Short answer
Partly. You approve the deal and the release to a buyer before delivery, and deals can exclude named competitors. But under the SourceX supplier agreement the license over the deidentified dataset is sublicensable and transferable, so it is not a standing veto over every future recipient — check the signed agreement for what is actually restricted.
Part of: How licensing works
Explanation#
No data is released to a buyer without your approval, a signed agreement and your delivery authorization.
Field-of-use terms can further limit what the data is used for.
Restrictions on onward sublicensing are only those written into your signed agreement.
Rights and privacy#
- Confirm customer, vendor and employee agreements allow the use
- Remove or de-identify personal details before anything leaves the company
- Approve the final dataset and permitted uses in writing
How licensing works#
A business describes its data, buyer demand is assessed, scope and permitted use are proposed, the data is prepared and de-identified, an agreement is signed, and the approved dataset is delivered. See data licensing for detail.
